Thali's vegan chef Nicole will teach you how to cook delicious vegan Indian dishes! Thali is one of the Reno Vegan Chef Challenge participants and one of the best Indian cuisines in Reno. They are known for their use of fresh, local, and organic ingredients. They purchase 90% of their ingredients from local farmers every week, except for ingredients difficult to grow locally such as coconut milk.
Nicole has been vegan for 3 years and has been a recipe developer and vegan chef at Thali since October 2018. In this cooking demo, she will demonstrate how to make fully coconut ladoo, red lentil Dahl, and cucumber veggie salad (note: cover photo is not actual foods to be made in this demo). After cooking is done, samples will be shared with attendees.
Doors open at 11:40 am. Cooking demo will begin at noon and ends around 1pm. Nicole will hang around until 1:30 pm for discussions.
This event is free and open to the public. The classroom has max capacity of 25, and it's first-come first-serve. Since this event is posted in various media, marking "Going" or "Interested" on this page will not guarantee your seat. Please come early to secure your seat.
This cooking demo is gluten-free because of Natural Grocers' kitchen usage rules. Please do not bring any foods that contain gluten in this class room.
